Deepening Environmental Education: Planting Love and Growing a Greener Future
To further its commitment to environmental sustainability, PANJIT International Inc., together with PYNMAX, Qianfang Elementary School, and the Iplant for life Tree-Planting Association, once again organized the “Planting Love, Growing a Greener Earth” tree-planting event. Through hands-on tree planting and environmental education activities, employees and students were invited to connect with the land, learn more about nature, and turn environmental awareness into meaningful action.
Upon arriving at the event, children who had participated in previous years eagerly searched for the trees they had planted themselves. Seeing the once-small saplings grow taller and greener gave them the opportunity to witness nature’s growth firsthand. Through these repeated interactions with the environment, the children also learned that protecting our planet is not a one-time effort, but a long-term commitment that requires continuous care and dedication.
Starting with One Tree, Growing a Lasting Green Impact
Since 2022, PANJIT has continued to promote tree planting and environmental sustainability initiatives, completing six tree-planting events to date. Since 2023, students from Cian-Fong Elementary School have also been invited to take part, extending environmental education beyond the workplace and into schools and the next generation.
Over the years, PANJIT and its partners have planted a total of 1,200 trees at the Qieding Wetlands. By bringing together businesses, schools, and environmental organizations, the initiative not only adds more greenery to the local environment but also seeks to plant the seeds of sustainability through hands-on experiences, fostering greater environmental awareness and responsibility among younger generations.
Bringing Green Living Home: A Hands-On Repotting Experience
In addition to the annual tree-planting activity, this year’s event introduced a new hands-on repotting workshop. Under the professional guidance of the Taiwan Reforestation Association, participants learned about plant root systems, practical repotting techniques, and everyday plant care. They also had the opportunity to repot plants such as Polyscias fruticosa and spider lilies, giving each plant a fresh environment in which to grow.
By touching the soil, observing root systems, and caring for plants firsthand, environmental education became more than the sharing of knowledge—it became a tangible part of everyday life. Participants were also able to bring their newly repotted plants home, extending the spirit of sustainability beyond the event and into their daily routines.
Making Sustainability an Ongoing Commitment
For PANJIT, planting a tree represents more than adding greenery to the environment. It is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and environmental education.
